Joe Tacopina, Rocky's attorney, stated they have two witnesses prepared to testify that the gun seen in security footage was a prop carried for security purposes. The defense team expressed no interest in settlement, with Rocky feeling confident about acquittal.
The case stems from a November 6, 2021 incident where Terell Ephron (A$AP Relli) claims Rocky fired shots that grazed his knuckles. Rocky faces two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
Despite his ongoing legal challenges, Rocky maintains prominent professional commitments, including:
- Celebrity chair position at the Met Gala
- Major role in an upcoming Spike Lee film alongside Denzel Washington
The trial's outcome could potentially impact these future projects.
