During a recent appearance on Marc Maron's "WTF" podcast, Ariana Grande advocated for record labels to include mandatory therapy sessions in artist contracts, particularly for young performers. The 31-year-old superstar shared her personal experiences dealing with fame as a teenager.

Grande emphasized that studios and labels should make therapy sessions non-negotiable in contracts, arguing that they understand how fame can negatively impact artists. She specifically recommended several therapy sessions per week for artists whose lives are about to change dramatically.

The singer reflected on her own challenges beginning at age 19, dealing with body image issues, relationship rumors, and intense public scrutiny. "It's impossible to navigate," Grande explained, noting that artists are particularly vulnerable due to their emotional nature.

This discussion follows Chappell Roan's recent Grammy acceptance speech about label responsibilities toward artist well-being. Grande also previously addressed similar concerns on Penn Badgley's "Podcrushed" podcast, where she discussed "reprocessing" her experiences from her time on Nickelodeon's "Victorious."

"A lot of people don't have the support that they need to get through being a performer at that level at such a young age," Grande stated, emphasizing the need for safer environments in the entertainment industry.
