Celine Dion Makes Surprise Performance, Cautions Fans About Fake AI Voice Recordings
Celine Dion has warned fans about unauthorized AI-generated music mimicking her voice across digital streaming platforms, following her recent impromptu performance at a TGL golf event in Palm Beach Gardens.

The 56-year-old artist took to social media to address the issue of fake recordings circulating online, emphasizing that these AI-generated tracks are not part of her official discography. While many listeners recognize these as machine-made content, some fans have mistakenly believed them to be authentic releases.
Dion's limited musical activity in recent years stems from her battle with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that halted her Courage World Tour in early 2020. Her last studio album, "Courage," was released in 2019.
However, recent developments suggest a possible comeback. During her appearance at the TGL golf event, Dion appeared healthy and performed an impromptu rendition of "My Heart Will Go On," demonstrating her continued vocal abilities. This follows her well-received performance at the Paris Olympics last year.
The issue of AI-generated music extends beyond Dion, with major industry players taking action. Sony Music recently led a $16 million funding round for Vermillio, an AI licensing and monetization startup, highlighting the industry's efforts to address unauthorized AI soundalikes.
For Dion fans, while specific plans for future performances or recordings remain unconfirmed, her recent public appearances and vocal performances suggest she may be preparing for a return to the spotlight.
