Diddy's Lawyers Push for Gag Order as Video Evidence Claims Surface in Trafficking Case
Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team has requested a gag order to restrict media statements amid his ongoing racketeering and sex trafficking case, as he awaits his May 5 trial.

Defense attorneys Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos filed the request with Judge Arun Subramanian, citing concerns over "improper pretrial publicity" that could compromise Combs' right to a fair trial.
The motion comes after an unnamed witness claimed to possess video evidence of Combs allegedly committing various crimes. The defense team strongly denies these allegations, describing them as "outrageous" claims made without legal verification and part of a "pathetic extortion scheme."
The witness, who reportedly never met Combs, claims to have received tapes from a deceased individual along with a purported memoir from the mother of Combs' children. The defense argues these unchecked claims have fueled harmful online speculation and could prejudice potential jurors.
This follows an earlier October motion where Combs' attorneys sought to limit federal law enforcement leaks. While Judge Subramanian denied that request, he emphasized that all parties must follow rules preventing the release of non-public information that could affect trial fairness.
The court is expected to rule on the gag order request in the coming weeks, as Combs' legal team works to maintain courtroom integrity ahead of the May trial date.
