Diplo addresses serious revenge porn allegations through an Instagram post while continuing his European tour. The 45-year-old DJ and producer faces a lawsuit filed by a woman (identified as Jane Doe) in California federal court on June 27.

The lawsuit details that Jane Doe and Diplo (Thomas Wesley Pentz) began communicating via Snapchat in April 2016 when she was 21 and he was 37. Their relationship, which involved exchanging intimate photos and videos, lasted until October 2023. The complainant specifically states she never consented to recording or distributing their intimate content.

In November 2023, an unknown woman contacted Jane Doe, claiming possession of intimate videos and images allegedly received from Diplo via Snapchat in October 2018. The matter has been reported to the NYPD, which confirmed an ongoing investigation into Thomas Pentz for unlawful dissemination.

The complaint alleges Diplo has continued distributing these materials from 2018 to present, causing the plaintiff "extreme and severe emotional distress with physical manifestations, anxiety, depression, and loss of privacy."

Diplo's attorney, Bryan J. Freedman, dismissed the allegations, stating to Vanity Fair that his client is being targeted by "untrustworthy individuals and their unscrupulous lawyers." This case follows a separate ongoing legal battle with Shelly Auguste since 2020, also involving revenge porn allegations, with a civil trial scheduled for January 2025.
