Former Diddy Bodyguard Joseph Sherman Denies Sexual Assault Allegations in 2001 Case
A former bodyguard of Sean "Diddy" Combs, Joseph "Big Joe" Sherman, strongly denies allegations of sexual assault that allegedly occurred in 2001. The accusations are part of a larger lawsuit filed by Thalia Graves, who claims she was drugged and assaulted by both Diddy and Sherman at Bad Boy Entertainment offices.

Sherman maintains he has never met Graves and wasn't in New York when the alleged incident occurred. He states he had already left Bad Boy Records by 2001, where he worked during the 1990s.
According to Sherman, Graves contacted him via Instagram in late 2023, requesting his testimony against Diddy in exchange for being excluded from legal proceedings. He refused, viewing it as a "money grab" attempt targeting Diddy.
The allegations have severely impacted Sherman's life, making it difficult to secure employment and affecting his family relationships. He plans to file a defamation counterclaim and denies additional accusations regarding involvement in pornography, clarifying that his media work involves urban rap magazines.
This case emerges amid numerous allegations against Diddy, who currently faces over 100 claims of sexual assault and trafficking. Sherman emphasizes that his relationship with Diddy was strictly professional during his time as security personnel, with no contact since leaving Bad Boy Records in the early 2000s.
Sherman's legal team is actively working to clear his name, with Sherman stating, "I am nothing but a scapegoat for this BS because I wouldn't lie on Puffy — Sean Combs."
