Fyre Festival 2 Confirmed for Mexico Launch, Still Seeking Headliners
Billy McFarland has announced Fyre Festival 2 is officially happening in Mexico, despite having no confirmed headliners. The event is scheduled for May 30 to June 2 in Isla Mujeres, off the Yucatan peninsula.

The festival promises to feature artists across electronic, hip-hop, pop, and rock genres, along with additional experiences like skateboarding demonstrations and MMA technique classes. Unlike the original event, Fyre Festival 2 will utilize existing infrastructure for accommodations and amenities rather than building from scratch.
Key details about Fyre Festival 2:
- Location: Isla Mujeres, Mexico
- Dates: May 30 - June 2
- Ticket prices: $1,400 to $1.1 million
- Capacity: 2,000 tickets available
- Accommodations must be purchased separately from tickets
McFarland, who served four years in federal prison for fraud related to the original Fyre Festival, won't be handling operational details this time. Professional festival operators have been brought on to manage logistics, with hotel, travel, and ticketing companies already partnered for the event.
The original 2017 Fyre Festival became infamous for its failure to deliver promised luxury accommodations and experiences, leaving attendees with inadequate shelter and facilities on Great Exhuma in the Bahamas. While McFarland expresses optimism about Fyre Festival 2 becoming an annual event, the success will depend heavily on proper execution and public willingness to trust the brand again.
Despite tickets being available for purchase, no performers have been announced, and accommodation details are only provided after ticket purchase via confirmation email.
