The revelation came after his wife encouraged him to seek a reevaluation, noting that his behavior didn't align with typical bipolar symptoms. During the evaluation, doctors determined he was on the autism spectrum instead.

"I went to this doctor... and I've come to find that it's really a case of autism that I have," Kanye explained.

Comparing his experience to the 1988 film "Rain Man," Kanye described how autism affects his tendency to hyper-focus on specific things. This trait influences both his personal life and creative decisions, often leading him to do the opposite of what others expect.

Since receiving the new diagnosis, Kanye has stopped taking bipolar medication and is exploring ways to maintain his creativity while managing his condition. "It's finding stuff that doesn't block the creativity, obviously that's what I bring to the world," he stated.

This diagnosis marks a significant shift in understanding Kanye's public persona and behavior. While he has previously been open about his mental health struggles, this new insight provides a different perspective on his past actions and creative choices.

The artist continues to work on various projects, though he hasn't specifically outlined how this diagnosis will impact his future endeavors. His openness about mental health continues to contribute to broader discussions about neurodiversity in the entertainment industry.
