Grammy Award-winning artist Kendrick Lamar has created the title track for Marvel's upcoming film 'Captain America: Brave New World,' as revealed by lead actor Anthony Mackie in a recent Entertainment Tonight interview.

This collaboration builds on Lamar's existing relationship with Marvel, following his successful curation of the Black Panther soundtrack in 2018. The announcement comes after Lamar's record-breaking Super Bowl halftime performance, which saw a 3% viewership increase over the previous year's show.

The news was inadvertently shared by Anthony Mackie, who stars as Sam Wilson/Captain America in the film. "Kendrick did the title song for my movie," Mackie revealed, adding praise for "the beauty and mastery of [Lamar's] craft."

While Lamar's track "N95" appears in the film's teaser trailer, Mackie's comments suggest an entirely new song has been created specifically for the movie. This will mark Lamar's first solo release of 2025, following his sixth studio album GNX from November and his Grammy-winning Drake-diss track "Not Like Us."

'Captain America: Brave New World' releases this Friday, February 14, featuring Anthony Mackie alongside Harrison Ford, Giancarlo Esposito, Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, and Tim Blake Nelson. The film marks Mackie's first appearance as the titular Captain America, taking over from Chris Evans' Steve Rogers.
