Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' hit collaboration "Die With a Smile" has shattered Spotify streaming records, becoming the fastest song to reach one billion streams on the platform. The track, which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, dominated the Billboard Global 200 for eight consecutive weeks.

The song has spawned multiple versions, including an acoustic version and a "Live in Las Vegas" edition, and earned nominations for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

The duo first performed the song live at Mars' Los Angeles Intuit Dome show, followed by a performance at his Las Vegas Park MGM residency. The track surpassed the previous record held by Miley Cyrus' "Flowers."

This achievement adds to both artists' impressive track records, with Lady Gaga now holding eight Pop Airplay #1 hits and Bruno Mars reaching ten, tying Justin Bieber for the most among male solo artists.

Lady Gaga is currently promoting her seventh album, set for February release, with its lead single "Disease" already out. She recently released "Harlequin," a companion album to "Joker: Folie à Deux," where she stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix.

Bruno Mars has also maintained momentum with his feature on Rosé's "Apt," which accumulated over 100 million Spotify streams in its first week.
