Grammy® winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear (Barlow & Bear) have joined forces with Grammy nominee Opetaia Foa'i and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina to create the film's musical landscape. Unlike the original film, Lin-Manuel Miranda is not involved in this sequel's soundtrack.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on November 29, with Walt Disney Records planning to release a Deluxe Soundtrack edition on November 25. This special version will include the score, instrumental versions, and ATMOS mixes.

A new featurette accompanies the soundtrack release, offering behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with:

  • Auli'i Cravalho (voice of Moana)
  • Dwayne Johnson (voice of Maui)
  • Directors Jason Hand, Dana Ledoux Miller, and David G. Derrick Jr.
  • Composers Barlow & Bear, Opetaia Foa'i, and Mark Mancina

The original Moana soundtrack (2016) garnered over 20 billion streams worldwide, featuring hits like "You're Welcome" and "How Far I'll Go." While plot details and the identity of Moana 2's villain remain undisclosed, the soundtrack offers fans an early taste of the upcoming adventure in Oceania.
