The Nashville Metro Council has approved Morgan Wallen's Broadway bar sign just days after his court sentencing for a chair-throwing incident. The sign will be displayed at 'Wallen's This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen' following a 30-1 council vote with six abstentions.

The approval comes after Wallen's December 12 court appearance, where he pleaded 'conditionally guilty' to two misdemeanor reckless endangerment charges. The country star received a sentence of seven days in a DUI education center and two years of supervised probation. Upon successful completion, the charges will be eligible for dismissal and expungement.

The charges stemmed from an April 7 incident where Wallen threw a chair from Chief's bar rooftop, nearly hitting two police officers. Witnesses reported seeing him laugh while doing so. Wallen later released a statement accepting responsibility for his actions.

The approved Broadway sign features 'Morgan' positioned above red and white 'Wallen's' lettering, with a 'This Bar' logo underneath. Social media posts have already shown additional signage at the establishment, including a Tennessee-shaped sign. Despite concerns voiced by council members regarding both the chair incident and Wallen's 2021 racial slur controversy, the sign received overwhelming approval.
