The Grammy-winning rapper, known for hits like "Country Grammar," "Ride Wit Me," and "Hot In Herre," defended his decision to perform, emphasizing his respect for the office of the presidency regardless of who holds it. Coming from a military family, Nelly explained that his decision transcends politics, stating, "If they can put their life on the line for whoever's in office, I can damn sure perform for whoever's in office."
The inauguration ceremonies have been moved indoors due to an arctic blast bringing temperatures down to the low 20s in Washington, D.C. President-elect Trump announced the change to protect attendees from the freezing conditions.
