Sick New World 2025 Festival Cancelled: Metallica, Linkin Park Headlined Event Halted
Las Vegas' Sick New World Festival has been cancelled for 2025 due to "unforeseen circumstances," despite featuring major headliners Metallica and Linkin Park.
The festival, originally scheduled for April 12, 2025, at the Las Vegas festival grounds, was set to showcase an impressive lineup of alternative rock and heavy metal acts, including Queens of the Stone Age, AFI, Evanescence, The Flaming Lips, Ministry, 311, Gojira, Cradle of Filth, Orgy, Cannibal Corpse, and Mastodon.

Notable among the planned performances was Acid Bath's first show in nearly 30 years. Festival organizers announced that all tickets purchased through Front Gate Tickets will be automatically refunded within 30 days.
While specific reasons for the cancellation weren't disclosed, the organizers' statement suggests the festival may return in the future. This cancellation follows a trend of music festivals facing challenges due to increasing operational costs in 2024 and 2025.
The festival's statement read: "Despite our best efforts, we've encountered unforeseen circumstances that we are unable to overcome for next year's show. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the dedicated SNW fans who had made plans to join us for another cultural celebration of hard rock, goth, alternative, and heavy music."
