
Sony Music Publishing Expands Into Thailand, Names Tatchara Longprasert to Lead Operations
Sony Music Publishing (SMP) has expanded its operations by launching a new flagship office in Thailand, appointing Tatchara Longprasert as General Manager. This marks SMP as the first international publisher to establish a dedicated local team providing full publishing services in Thailand.

The Bangkok-based office will focus on developing and promoting Thai songwriters both domestically and internationally. Under Longprasert's leadership, SMP Thailand will collaborate with key music industry stakeholders, including labels and collection societies, to create new opportunities for composers and songwriters.
Tatchara Longprasert brings over a decade of industry experience to his role, having previously served as A&R Director at Sonray Music and held positions at Warner Music Thailand, BEC World PLC, and SM Entertainment's International Business Team.
Carol Ng, President of Asia at Sony Music Publishing, emphasized Thailand's rich musical heritage and the growing demand for dedicated publishing services in the region. Guy Henderson, President International, expressed confidence in the new team's ability to advance Thai writers' global achievements.
The expansion represents a significant step in supporting Thailand's creative community, with a focus on:

Longprasert will report directly to Carol Ng and focus on expanding the company's creative and commercial opportunities in the Thai market.
