
Sony Music Publishing Signs Producer Mike Dean and M.W.A. Collective in Global Deal
Sony Music Publishing has signed legendary producer Mike Dean and key members of his M.W.A. (Mike Wins Again) collective through a global publishing deal and strategic partnership aimed at developing new talent.

Mike Dean, a Grammy-winning producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist, has shaped contemporary music through collaborations with artists like Travis Scott, Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, Ye, and The Weeknd. His career began in the early '90s working with southern rap pioneers before expanding across hip-hop, pop, and experimental genres.
The deal includes M.W.A. members:
- Sean Solymar: Known for work with Nas, Latto, and the Grammy-winning "Jail"
- Tommy Rush: Collaborated with Beyoncé, Travis Scott, and contributed to The Weeknd's "Popular ft. Playboy Carti"
- Sage Skolfield: Recent credits include The Weeknd's "Dancing in the Flames" and HBO's The Idol soundtrack
Beyond production, Dean has established himself as a performer, selling out shows at the Wiltern in Los Angeles and touring with The Weeknd. He also scored HBO's The Idol series alongside The Weeknd and Sam Levinson.
Sony Music Publishing Chairman & CEO Jon Platt praised Dean's transformative influence on hip-hop and his role in inspiring new talent through M.W.A., which was launched in 2017 as an innovative producer collective.
