Spotify and Apple Music Launch Direct TikTok Song Sharing for Music, Audiobooks and Playlists
Spotify and Apple Music have launched a new 'Share to TikTok' feature, allowing users to directly share music content to the social media platform. This integration builds upon TikTok's existing "Add to Music App" feature launched last year.

Key Features:
- Users can share tracks, playlists, albums, podcasts, and audiobooks
- Content can be shared via TikTok DMs or main feed
- One-tap access to shared content through respective streaming platforms
- Available on both iOS and Android devices
According to Ole Obermann, TikTok's global head of music business development, the "Add to Music App" feature has already generated:
- Hundreds of millions of track saves
- Billions of streams on partner music streaming services
This integration follows TikTok's recent shutdown of its standalone music streaming service, strengthening its partnerships with established streaming platforms. The feature joins other social media music integrations, such as Instagram's "Add Song to Spotify" feature launched in October.
TikTok has also expanded its live entertainment partnerships with:
- Ticketmaster
- AXS
- CTS Eventim
- Eventbrite
This new sharing capability aims to enhance music discovery and artist promotion while creating a seamless connection between music streaming services and social media platforms.
