R&B superstar SZA has officially ended her professional relationship with longtime manager Terrence "Punch" Henderson, co-president of Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). Their collaboration, which began in 2012, was instrumental in establishing SZA as one of music's leading voices.

The announcement came through SZA's Instagram Story, where she expressed both gratitude and respect for their time together: "Nothing to celebrate. The end of an era. I wish him the best, whatever his choices may be." She specifically urged fans not to attack Punch, stating, "I love Punch deeply. NO ONE should be attacking him or being cruel on my behalf."

Under Punch's management at TDE, SZA achieved remarkable success with two albums:

  • "Ctrl" - critically acclaimed debut
  • "SOS" - reached #1 on Billboard 200, maintaining the position for 10 consecutive weeks

The split appears to stem from complications surrounding the release of "Lana," the deluxe version of "SOS." SZA revealed that certain tracks were left off despite prior discussions with Punch, noting, "Those were tracks Punch and I spoke about releasing together prior. Obviously he stepped away abruptly so sorting the drop out was a bit tricky."

While TDE has not issued an official statement, SZA maintains that the separation is amicable, emphasizing that sometimes professional relationships naturally evolve and end.
