UPROXX and will.i.am's FYI are joining forces to host the 'LA Check-In,' a pre-Grammy event supporting LA's music community and fire relief efforts. The event takes place on Friday, January 31, from 8 PM to midnight PST at will.i.am's FYI Campus in Hollywood.

The evening will feature performances by Coast Contra and appearances from notable artists including DJ Drama, DJ Hed, and Samantha Ronson. Attendees can enjoy a premium open bar and live DJ sets, with additional surprise guests expected.

All proceeds benefit the i.am Angel Foundation's emergency fund, supporting affected families, students, and communities through partnerships with the LAUSD Foundation, Pasadena Educational Foundation, and Core Foundations.

In related news, UPROXX has launched its 7th Annual Music Critics Poll, featuring input from nearly 300 music critics. The poll introduces new categories for 2024, including Top 20 Music Videos and Top 20 Album Covers, alongside existing categories for Top 50 Albums and Top 20 Songs.

The poll's comprehensive approach encompasses over 900 albums and 700 songs, providing a thorough overview of the year's musical achievements. This initiative follows UPROXX's successful Sound+Vision Awards, which celebrated creative direction in music.
