Young Thug's sister, Dora Williams, has revealed the rapper experienced significant trauma during his incarceration and requests fans to focus on his recovery rather than seeking personal gain.

"I really wish everyone would value the fact that my brother is human & actually went thru a lot of trauma. As did his family," Williams posted on X (formerly Twitter). She emphasized that Young Thug's current desire to connect with people is purely social, not for publicity: "If he's asking for you to come around him, it's to just chill, not gain clout."

After serving over 900 days in jail and accepting a non-negotiated plea deal, Young Thug has been gradually returning to public life. He recently appeared virtually with his attorney, Brian Steele, during a law school class session, and was seen in a video posted by fellow rapper T.I.

There's speculation about his first public appearance, with rumors suggesting he might attend a Colorado University football game. His sister Dolly White confirmed these plans in an exchange with Deion Sanders Jr., saying "We comin."

The family's primary concern remains Young Thug's well-being and recovery. Williams urges fans and associates to respect his boundaries and "shower him with love" as he readjusts to life outside prison, emphasizing the need for genuine support over opportunistic interactions.
