45RPM Partners with Universal Music Publishing Group to Launch New Publishing Division
UK music supervision company 45RPM has launched a new music publishing division backed by Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), marking a significant expansion of their services.
The company, established in 2022 by industry veterans Iain Cooke, Sarah Bridge, Catherine Grieves, and Nick Angel, has quickly become a leader in music supervision. Earlier this year, they strengthened their team by appointing Ayla Owen, former BBH London Head of Music and Warner Chappell Music European VP of Sync, as Managing Director.
45RPM offers comprehensive services including soundtrack development, composer partnerships, rights negotiation, budget management, and on-camera music supervision. The new publishing venture will focus on supporting composers and songwriters in film, TV, advertising, and gaming.
Through this partnership, creators will benefit from:
- Expert guidance from 45RPM's experienced music supervisors
- UMPG's global reach and industry resources
- Opportunities to cross between composing and songwriting
- Specialized support in screen and classical music
"We aim to be a bridge between composers and songwriters, facilitating their growth across different musical domains," says Nick Angel, Founder and Director of 45RPM.
UMPG executives expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, with Natasha Baldwin, EVP of Classics & Screen, highlighting their unique position to support both composers and songwriters globally. Tom Foster, SVP of Film and TV Europe, emphasized the exciting opportunities this partnership creates for original songs and scores in TV and film productions.
