Adidas Finally Sells Last of Yeezy Inventory, Closing Kanye West Chapter
Adidas has officially sold through all remaining Yeezy inventory, marking the end of its controversial partnership with Kanye West (Ye). The sportswear giant confirmed that "there is not one Yeezy shoe left," according to CFO Harm Ohlmeyer.

Adidas liquidating remaining Yeezy shoe inventory
The company terminated its relationship with Ye in late 2022 following his antisemitic remarks on social media. The partnership, which began in 2013, was initially valued at $1 billion and represented approximately $1.5 billion of West's net worth, according to Forbes.
Despite facing revenue declines in the US throughout 2023 and into 2024 due to reduced Yeezy sales, Adidas began liquidating the remaining stock in mid-2023. The company pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds to organizations fighting antisemitism, including the Anti-Defamation League.
Adidas maintains its stance against hate speech, stating: "Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. [West's] recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company's values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect, and fairness."
Meanwhile, West continues to use the Yeezy brand name independently, recently running a controversial Super Bowl ad filmed on his iPhone. The ad directed viewers to his website, which displayed controversial merchandise for sale. He has since made additional antisemitic statements on social media, followed by subsequent apologies.
With the complete selloff of Yeezy inventory, Adidas officially closes this chapter of its history, with Ohlmeyer confirming "that episode is behind us."
