AEG has announced a significant restructuring of its international operations, focusing on expansion in Europe and Asia-Pacific markets. The reorganization includes key executive appointments and strategic realignment of business divisions.

Adam Wilkes, credited with expanding AEG's presence in Asia-Pacific, will become AEG Presents' president and CEO for Europe and Asia-Pacific starting February 1st. He will relocate from Singapore to London in 2025 and work closely with Alex Hill.

Alex Hill has been promoted to president and CEO of AEG International. Based in London, Hill will oversee AEG's sports teams and venues in Europe, while also managing new venue development and operations in Asia-Pacific and other non-U.S. markets.

In the new structure, Wilkes will report to AEG Presents CEO Jay Marciano, while Hill will report to AEG CEO Dan Beckerman.

This international expansion strategy follows AEG's recent moves, including:

  • Q4 2024 expansion of AXS ticketing platform into Germany
  • Partnership with Australia's Playbill Group
  • Competing with Live Nation's developments in Southeast Asia

The restructuring reflects AEG's commitment to global growth, with Beckerman stating the changes will "deliver growth, as well as new experiences and innovative services for our global artists, partners and fans."

This move comes amid increasing competition in the global live entertainment sector, with recent developments including KKR's Superstruct buyout and Superstruct's acquisition of Boiler Room from Dice.
