Andrew Gialanella's musical journey began at age twelve when he picked up one of his family's guitars out of boredom. As an introverted child, he found the guitar to be a safe space for wordless self-expression.

After graduating from the University of Georgia and playing in various bands, Gialanella made a life-changing decision to get sober. This pivotal moment led him to step back from live performances and explore recording and production, focusing on instrumental guitar music.

His sobriety journey influenced his musical style, evolving into peaceful, melody-centered compositions. "Melody is the centerpiece because there are no lyrics. I try to focus on stuff you might want to whistle to or hum to later," explains Gialanella.

His creative process is spontaneous and therapeutic, often starting with improvisational "noodling" that he immediately records and develops in the studio. Despite his electric guitar background, Gialanella gravitates toward the "organic and earthy" sound of acoustic guitar, drawing inspiration from nature.

The impact of his music became evident when his song 'Another Year' went viral in early 2023 and 2024. Listeners have shared how his music accompanies their daily activities and helps them through difficult times, serving as a comforting presence during stress and anxiety.

Gialanella partners with Downtown Music, valuing the independence and control over his masters. He appreciates their understanding of how different music types perform across various platforms, noting that "Downtown's been great with that. My catalog is in really good hands."

Through his music, Gialanella aims to promote mental health awareness and create conversations around wellness, mindfulness, and self-care. "That's the kind of energy I'm trying to put out into the world. A place of: things are going to be okay," he shares.

For Gialanella, both his artistry and personal growth continue to evolve. As he puts it, "The only constant in life is change."
