Sony Music is releasing "Bob Dylan — The 1974 Live Recordings," a massive 27-CD boxed set documenting Dylan's historic 1974 tour with The Band. The collection, releasing September 20 via Columbia/Legacy, features 417 previously unreleased tracks plus 12 tracks from the original "Before the Flood" live album.
Third Man Records will release a condensed vinyl version, consisting of a three-LP set with a 7-inch single. This special green-vinyl edition, titled "The 1974 Live Recordings — The Missing Songs From Before the Flood," will include one selected version of each song not found on "Before the Flood." Fans must subscribe to Third Man's Vault service by July 31 to secure a copy.
Unlike the "Bootleg Series," this release follows the format of 2019's "The Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1975 Live Recordings." While substantial, the 27-disc collection is smaller than 2016's "The 1966 Live Recordings," which spanned 36 discs.
