The 2025 BRIT Awards ceremony has attracted over 800 complaints to UK media watchdog Ofcom, primarily focusing on Sabrina Carpenter's performance.

Carpenter's controversial performance included a medley of "Espresso," "Bed Chem," and "Rule Britannia!" She appeared in a red sparkly mini-dress styled after the King's Guard uniform, later changing into a red teddy with stockings. The performance featured dancers on a pink and purple heart bed set.

Additional complaints targeted Charli XCX's appearance and comments. During one of her five award acceptance speeches, she addressed ITV's alleged concerns about her outfit, remarking, "I heard that ITV were complaining about my nipples. I feel like we're in the era of 'free the nipple' though, right?"

An Ofcom spokesperson confirmed they received 825 total complaints and are currently assessing them against their guidelines. This number is relatively small compared to previous incidents - for context, Piers Morgan's comments about Meghan Markle in 2021 generated 58,000 complaints.

The timing of the performances may affect any potential investigation, as the show aired from 8:15 PM to 10:40 PM, straddling the UK's 9:00 PM watershed - the cutoff time for child-suitable content.
