
Canadian Hacker Behind Snowflake and Ticketmaster Breaches Arrested
A Canadian suspect behind the recent Ticketmaster and Snowflake data breaches has been arrested. The alleged hacker, identified as Alexander Moucka (also known as Connor Moucka), was apprehended on October 30, 2024, following a request from the United States.

Hacker arrested over Ticketmaster data breach
The cyber attack affected over 165 Snowflake instances, impacting major companies including AT&T, Ticketmaster, and LendingTree. Prior to his arrest, the suspect, using the alias Judsiche, told 404 Media about destroying evidence and attempting to compromise remaining data.
The breach severely impacted Ticketmaster's operations, with hackers:
- Releasing Taylor Swift tickets online as proof of data access
- Claiming ability to generate 30 million barcodes for high-profile events
- Attempting multiple extortion schemes
In response, Ticketmaster:
- Temporarily suspended Taylor Swift ticket resales
- Addressed thousands of customer complaints about missing tickets
- Implemented additional security measures
The suspect appeared in court on the afternoon of his arrest, with the case adjourned to November 5, 2024, according to the Canadian Department of Justice.
