The lawsuit challenges three main claims from the documentary:

  • Allegations about a "predisposition for punching women in the face"
  • A dancer's rape accusation from a 2020 yacht incident
  • Claims about manipulated text messages shared with law enforcement

Brown's legal team argues that Warner Bros. Discovery proceeded with the documentary despite being informed that the allegations were "misleading" and "discredited." They claim the film has "irreparably tarnished" Brown's career and caused emotional distress.

The anonymous dancer previously filed a $20 million lawsuit against Brown in 2022, claiming he drugged and raped her at a Miami yacht party at Sean "Diddy" Combs' property. That case was later dismissed.

Brown's previous legal issues include:

  • 2009: Pleaded guilty to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna
  • 2014: Pleaded guilty to assault in Washington, D.C.
  • 2016: Allegations of assault at a Las Vegas casino (no charges filed)
  • 2017: Court order to stay away from ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran

While Brown's attorneys acknowledge his past legal troubles, they emphasize that he has "never been found at fault for any type of sexual crime" and claim Warner Bros. Discovery prioritized profits over journalistic integrity in producing the documentary.
