Diddy and FTX's Sam Bankman-Fried Share Prison Unit at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center
Sean 'Diddy' Combs is now sharing a unit at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) with convicted crypto fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried, the former FTX founder who received a 25-year sentence.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to charges including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Despite his legal team's proposal of a $50 million bond and 24/7 security monitoring, the judge denied bail due to concerns about potential witness tampering.

The MDC, which houses approximately 1,200 inmates, has faced numerous complaints about overcrowding and poor conditions. While Bankman-Fried requested to remain at MDC during his appeal, Diddy's lawyers argue the facility conditions are unsuitable for a pretrial defendant.
Diddy's legal team, led by Marc Agnifilo, is pushing for an expedited trial while working to facilitate their client's access to the government's extensive evidence, which includes witnesses, photos, videos, and text messages.
"If the government wants to arrest him and hold him in jail, despite a massive bail package and despite his repeated offers to turn himself in, we are all going to have to move this along with unprecedented urgency," Agnifilo told The New York Times. As of now, Diddy's team has not requested a transfer from MDC.
The case continues to develop as prosecutors gather evidence and prepare for trial, with no current timeline set for proceedings.
