Gateway Center Arena has canceled two scheduled Bassnectar shows in College Park, Georgia, following public backlash related to ongoing sexual assault allegations. The shows were originally planned for April 26 and 27.

The venue cited community safety concerns as the primary reason for cancellation. The decision came after an internal evaluation of the situation involving the EDM producer, whose legal name is Lorin Ashton.

The allegations stem from an April 2021 lawsuit where two women accused Ashton of sexual abuse of minors, human trafficking, and child pornography. Two additional women later joined the lawsuit, though one withdrew when required to reveal her identity. The case is currently in discovery, with trial scheduled for February 2025.

Ashton's legal team maintains his innocence, stating he "has always denied these outrageous and offensive allegations" and has never been found liable or charged. They characterized the venue's decision as "cancel culture gone mad."

This isn't the first cancellation Bassnectar has faced. Similar shows were canceled at Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina in October. However, the artist has successfully performed sold-out shows in Las Vegas and New York City during his recent comeback tour.
