In the video, Doechii demonstrates remarkable resilience, saying, "I have nothing to lose. I literally have nothing to lose. I have no place, I have no job, I have no children." She shares her plans to visit studios and seek internships, showing her determination to pursue a music career.

Following this setback, Doechii's career quickly gained momentum. She self-funded her debut EP "Oh The Places You'll Go" that same year, released two more EPs in 2021 and 2022, and signed with Top Dawg Entertainment. Her breakthrough came with "Alligator Bites Never Heal" mixtape, which won Best Rap Album at the 2025 Grammys.

At the Grammy Awards, Doechii delivered an inspiring acceptance speech, stating, "I know that there is some Black girl out there, so many Black women out there that are watching me right now, and I want to tell you: You can do it. Anything is possible." She showcased her talent with performances of "Catfish" and "Denial is a River," and received a nomination for Best Rap Performance for "Nissan Altima."
