Benson Boone's "Beautiful Things" has been crowned the biggest global single of 2024 by IFPI, marking his first appearance in the organization's Global Chart Top 10. The song achieved the highest worldwide sales across all digital formats, including paid subscriptions, ad-supported platforms, and downloads.

Released in January 2024, "Beautiful Things" garnered multiple prestigious awards, including recognition at the Billboard Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and NRJ Music Awards. Boone also secured Best New Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards and received a Grammy nomination in the same category.

IFPI CEO Victoria Oakley praised Boone's achievement, highlighting the success of emerging artists in partnership with their record labels. The Global Singles Chart showcased several notable performances:

  • Teddy Swims' "Lose Control" secured No. 3
  • Hozier's "Too Sweet" reached No. 6, marking his first chart return in a decade
  • Taylor Swift's "Cruel Summer" from 2019's Lover album landed at No. 9, boosted by her Eras Tour success

US artists dominated the Top 10, occupying nine spots, with Irish artist Hozier being the sole international representative. The chart results reflect a strong year for new talent while also demonstrating the enduring appeal of established artists.
