The lawsuit, filed in October, accuses Cooper of collaborating with Lanez to damage Megan's reputation through cyberstalking, emotional distress, and privacy invasion, including sharing deepfake nudes and misinformation. Judge Altonaga noted that Cooper's activities represented "a campaign, not journalism."
Lanez, currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for felony assault after shooting Megan in the foot in 2020, will now face questioning related to these allegations.
Cooper's attorney, Michael Pancier, stated that this decision doesn't determine the case's outcome, emphasizing that Megan must still prove her claims with credible evidence.
Meanwhile, Megan has launched her premium tequila brand, Chicas Divertidas, offering blanco and reposado varieties. The venture was inspired by Beyoncé's advice to create her own alcohol brand rather than promoting others'.
Reports also indicate that Lanez is working on a new album during his incarceration, while allegedly continuing to assist Cooper in her campaign against Megan Thee Stallion.
