300 Entertainment CEO Kevin Liles has released a statement following Young Thug's release from prison after a two-year custody period. The Atlanta rapper, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, was arrested in May 2022 along with others for alleged violations of Georgia's RICO law.

"Words can't express the incredible happiness and relief I feel to learn of Jeffery's freedom," Liles stated. He emphasized that artists are human beings first, not fictional characters, and expressed joy that Williams can now reunite with his family.

Young Thug opted for a non-negotiated guilty plea instead of accepting a plea deal for immediate release. He received a 15-year probation sentence with no additional prison time. As part of his sentencing, Williams is restricted from visiting the Atlanta metro area except under special circumstances and must conduct anti-gang and anti-violence presentations regularly.

During the trial, Williams acknowledged his influence in the community, stating, "I know what I bring to the table and I know what I am." He took full responsibility for his actions while emphasizing his impact on the community.

The trial, which began in November 2023, centered around allegations that Williams and other YSL Records members were involved in various crimes, including murders, drug dealings, and carjackings.
