In a recent interview on Avicii Radio, Klas discussed the foundation's mission and growth, highlighting their dedicated team in Stockholm working to provide mental health resources to young people.
Significant developments in preserving Avicii's legacy include:
- Pophouse Entertainment's acquisition of Avicii's music catalog in 2022, ensuring his music reaches future generations
- A successful auction of 267 personal items raising over $700,000 for the foundation
- Two upcoming Netflix documentaries: "Avicii – I'm Tim" (releasing December 31, 2024) and "Avicii – My Last Show"
- Plans for an Avicii musical by Pophouse Entertainment
The foundation's work is funded through various sources, including the music catalog, which will support mental health initiatives for at least 50 years. Through these efforts, Klas and his wife ensure that Avicii's impact continues to resonate, both through his music and their dedication to mental health advocacy.
"He will always be there as long as I live, and my wife lives at least," Klas shared, emphasizing their commitment to keeping Avicii's memory and mission alive through meaningful projects and initiatives that help others.
