Live Nation Denies Madonna Late-Start Lawsuit Settlement, Slams 'False' Notice and Harassment Claims
Live Nation disputes the reported settlement of Madonna's late-start concert lawsuit, calling the notice "false" and criticizing what they describe as a "harassment campaign" by plaintiffs.

The dispute centers on multiple class-action lawsuits filed against Madonna and Live Nation regarding allegedly late concert start times. While the first lawsuit was filed in New York federal court in early 2024, a similar suit emerged in Washington, D.C., in late April.
The controversy escalated when plaintiffs submitted a settlement notice last Friday, claiming the parties had "reached a settlement" with a July 8th deadline for formal dismissal. However, Live Nation's attorneys promptly contested this claim, stating that no settlement had been reached.
According to Live Nation's legal team, while preliminary settlement discussions occurred in late May, they never made a formal offer. Despite this, the plaintiffs' attorney claimed on June 6th that their clients had accepted a "proposal for settlement" and submitted a draft agreement.
Live Nation is now requesting the court to:
- Strike the settlement notice
- Order plaintiffs to pay legal fees
- Consider additional appropriate relief
The company stated they remain open to settlement under certain terms but "will not be harassed into settlement and cannot abide false statements."

The plaintiffs have until July 1st to respond to the defendants' motion to dismiss the complaint. This legal dispute, while notable, represents just one of several legal challenges currently facing Live Nation.
