Netflix Adds Spatial Audio to Original Shows with Sennheiser Partnership
Netflix has partnered with Sennheiser to bring spatial audio support to select Netflix Original titles. This feature began rolling out on July 7, using Sennheiser's AMBEO 2-Channel spatial audio technology to convert immersive mixes into enhanced two-channel audio.

Netflix is the first streaming platform to implement this technology, which preserves the original sound mix while delivering an improved audio experience through standard stereo speakers. Scott Kramer, Manager for Sound Technology at Netflix, notes that this process "better translates their detailed immersive mix work to stereo" while maintaining creative intent.
Currently, 27 Netflix Originals support spatial audio, including popular titles such as:
- Stranger Things
- The Witcher
- Red Notice
- The Adam Project
- Resident Evil
- Locke & Key
- Castlevania
- Archive 81
- Fear Street Trilogy
- The Haunting of Bly Manor
To find content with spatial audio support, users can simply search "spatial audio" within Netflix. This feature complements Netflix's existing premium features like 4K, HDR, Dolby Atmos, and Netflix Calibrated Mode.
Additional titles with spatial audio support include:
- Raising Dion
- Keep Sweet Pray and Obey
- Interceptor
- Jennifer Lopez's 'Halftime'
- The Unforgivable
- Selena the Series
- The Order
- True Story
- Black Summer
- Seoul Vibe
- Slumberland
- The Good Nurse
- Warrior Nun
- Kate
- Lulli
