Paramount+ Reveals Intimate Ozzy Osbourne Documentary 'No Escape From Now' Ahead of Final Performance
Paramount+ has announced a new feature-length documentary, "Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now," chronicling the rock legend's recent struggles and his preparation for a final performance.
The documentary, currently in production and set to premiere on Paramount+ later this year, will offer an intimate look at Osbourne's life following his devastating fall in 2019. Echo Velvet is producing the film in collaboration with the Osbournes and MTV Entertainment Studios.
"The last six years have been full of some of the worst times I've been through," Osbourne reveals. "There's been times when I thought my number was up. But making music and making two albums saved me."
BAFTA Award winner Tania Alexander directs the project, which began filming in early 2022 during the recording of Patient Number 9, Osbourne's 13th studio album. The documentary will culminate with Ozzy's final performance alongside Black Sabbath in Birmingham on July 5.
The film features exclusive access to Ozzy, Sharon, and their children, along with appearances from notable musicians including:
- Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath)
- Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses)
- Robert Trujillo (Metallica)
- Billy Idol
- Maynard James Keenan
- Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
- Zakk Wylde
Sharon Osbourne emphasizes the documentary's authenticity: "This film is an honest account of what has happened to Ozzy during the last few years. It shows how hard things have been for him and the courage he has shown while dealing with serious health issues, including Parkinson's."
Executive producers include Bruce Gillmer and Amanda Culkowski (MTV Entertainment Studios), Phil Alexander (Echo Velvet), and Sharon Osbourne (Sharon Osbourne Management).
