Born in Chingford, East London on May 17, 1958, Di'Anno served as Iron Maiden's lead singer from 1978 to 1981. During his tenure, he recorded two groundbreaking albums with the band: their self-titled debut and "Killers."

After leaving Iron Maiden due to struggles with addiction and creative differences with Steve Harris, Di'Anno maintained an active career spanning over four decades. He performed with bands including Battlezone and Killers, while also pursuing solo projects and guest appearances.

Despite health challenges in recent years that confined him to a wheelchair, Di'Anno continued performing live, completing over 100 shows since 2023. His final performance took place on August 30 at Hype Park in Krakow, Poland.

His last recording, "The Book of the Beast," a career retrospective album, was released in September 2024, showcasing highlights from his post-Iron Maiden career.
