
PPL Distributes $58 Million in Q4 2024, Expands to Azerbaijan and Guatemala Markets
PPL has announced its Q4 2024 distribution of £45.3 million ($57.5 million), marking a slight 7% decrease from the record-breaking Q4 2023 payout. The distribution reaches over 137,000 performers and rightsholders worldwide.

- International payments from 69 CMOs (up from 63 in Q4 2023)
- Major contributions from France, Netherlands, Sweden, US, and Portugal
- First-time payments received from Azerbaijan (RAYS) and Guatemala
- Includes revenue from music-video subsidiary VPL
- Over 9,400 members received their first-ever payment
Additional Developments:
- PPL has joined the newly formed "Creative Rights in AI Coalition"
- The coalition established three principles focusing on:
- Creating a beneficial licensing market
- Ensuring AI training transparency
- Promoting industry growth and innovation
The distribution also includes a £2.3 million ($2.9 million) Annual Supplementary Remuneration Fund payment for 2024. According to CEO Peter Leathem, this performance aligns with December payments from the past five years, marking a strong end to PPL's 90th year of operations.
This distribution demonstrates PPL's continued expansion of its global collection network while supporting new artists in building sustainable music careers.
