Round Hill and Zync Music End Legal Battle Following Joint Venture Dispute
Round Hill and Zync Music have officially ended their legal dispute stemming from a joint venture agreement established in 2017. The conflict, which began in May 2024, has concluded with both parties agreeing to dismiss the case with prejudice.

The dispute originated from a 2017 agreement where Zync sold certain assets to Round Hill's second royalty fund and established a joint tenancy agreement. Under this arrangement, Zync would manage daily operations while Round Hill provided funding and infrastructure support.
The relationship deteriorated when the parties disagreed over the buyout value of Zync's remaining assets, which was to be determined by a third-party appraiser at the end of the deal term. Both companies hired separate appraisers, leading to conflicting valuations and subsequent legal action.
In November 2024, the judge granted Round Hill's motion to stay the case pending a new third-party appraisal. After several deadline extensions, the parties reached an agreement on January 7th, leading to the dismissal.

Key outcomes:
- Zync has rebranded as Round Hill Music Sync on LinkedIn
- The specific valuation terms remain undisclosed
- Zync's website currently maintains its original branding
- Round Hill continues to face a separate contract dispute with B.o.B, filed in 2022
The dismissal with prejudice indicates a final resolution to the conflict, though the financial terms of the settlement remain private.
