
Sony and Honda's Afeela EV Selects Spotify as Exclusive Entertainment Partner
Sony and Honda's joint electric vehicle venture, Afeela, has announced Spotify as their exclusive in-dash entertainment partner at CES in Las Vegas.

The Afeela 1 will be available in two trim options:
- Origin model: Starting at $89,900
- Signature model: Starting at $102,900
Both versions include a three-year subscription to in-car features, including driver assist and AI-powered personal assistant. The Spotify integration will provide users access to:
- Over 100 million songs
- 6 million podcast titles
- 350,000 audiobooks
- Personalized recommendations
- Recently played content
- Custom playlists
Key vehicle specifications:
- Estimated 300-mile range
- Tesla Supercharger network compatibility
- Available exclusively in "Core Black"
- Over 40 sensors and cameras for semi-autonomous driving
- Full-width dashboard display screens
- Handleless door design concept
Currently, pre-orders are only available in California with a $200 refundable deposit. The vehicle's design combines elements of the Honda Accord and Lucid Air, featuring a "near final" prototype according to Sony Honda Mobility CEO Yasuhide Mizuno. Launch dates for other markets have not yet been announced.
