Murphy Lee, Kyjuan, and City Spud have removed themselves from the legal action, leaving Ali Jones as the sole plaintiff. The lawsuit initially claimed the group members contributed to "Country Grammar" but were denied proper credits and compensation.

Attorney Precious Felder Gates, representing Ali, confirmed to Billboard that her client will continue pursuing unpaid royalties. The updated lawsuit now includes HarbourView Equity Partners as a defendant following Nelly's $50 million catalog sale to them last year.

The St. Lunatics, formed by high school friends in St. Louis, first gained recognition with their late 90s track "Gimme What U Got." Their group album "Free City" reached #1 on the Billboard 200, releasing after Nelly's solo success.

Ali's lawsuit alleges Nelly "repeatedly manipulated" the group regarding payment promises for their work on his solo material. However, the three withdrawn members demonstrated their continued support for Nelly by joining him on stage at the American Music Awards.

HarbourView Equity Partners has not responded to requests for comment regarding their addition to the lawsuit.
