Ticketmaster Hacker Who Demanded $8M Could Be Canadian Video Game Fan, Investigators Say
Cybersecurity firm Mandiant is actively tracking down the hacker known as Judische, responsible for the major Snowflake breach affecting Ticketmaster, AT&T, Lending Tree, and over 165 other companies.

Hacker targets Ticketmaster on computer
According to 404 Media's report, Judische has extorted approximately $2 million from companies by stealing their data and demanding payment for its deletion. The hacker released sensitive information from non-compliant companies, including Ticketmaster tickets for Taylor Swift's 'The Eras Tour.'
Mandiant's investigation made progress when Judische made crucial errors during his extortion attempts. In one instance, he accidentally revealed his system's hostname in a proof-of-deletion video. Senior threat analyst Austin Larsen used this information to locate and shut down servers hosting stolen data.
Key findings about Judische:
- Likely a male in his 20s
- Possibly based in Canada
- Interests include video games, geopolitics, and catgirls
- Demanded $8 million from Ticketmaster
- Successfully extorted $370,000 from AT&T
Law enforcement efforts have resulted in the seizure of servers in Moldova and Ukraine. Mandiant continues to work with U.S. and international law enforcement to apprehend the hacker, who remains dismissive of what he terms "civilian law enforcement."
