Travis Scott Detained in Paris Following Hotel Security Incident
Travis Scott was arrested in Paris early Friday morning following an altercation with a security guard at the George V hotel. Paris prosecutors confirm the security guard intervened to separate Scott from his bodyguard during the incident.
TMZ footage shows police dragging Scott away from the hotel and placing him in a police vehicle before transferring him to an ambulance. During the altercation, several vases were reportedly broken inside the hotel lobby.
The incident allegedly stemmed from paparazzi harassment, which caused Scott to react violently in the hotel lobby, prompting staff to call authorities. Scott's representative, Melissa Nathan, stated they are working with Paris authorities to resolve the matter.
Prior to the arrest, Scott was attending the Olympics and had left the USA vs. Serbia men's basketball semifinal match on Thursday evening. He had unsuccessfully sought police assistance to manage crowd and paparazzi harassment earlier that day.
Scott currently remains in police custody but faces no charges. This incident follows his recent legal troubles in Florida, where he still faces a misdemeanor trespassing charge set for trial on September 10, though a separate disorderly intoxication charge was dropped.
