The merger preserves both companies' distinct product development approaches while expanding their service offerings. Weeztix will continue focusing on open API ticketing technology, while gaining access to Weezevent's comprehensive solutions, including:
- Accreditation services
- Cashless payment systems
- Access control systems
Joost Aane, Weeztix CEO, assures existing customers that operations will continue unchanged, maintaining the same team, product, and service quality. Pierre-Henri Deballon, Weezevent CEO, emphasizes that the merger creates powerful synergies to benefit event organizers across Europe.
Earlier this year, Eventix (now Weeztix) partnered with Spotify, enabling live music organizers to list events directly on the platform. This integration allows fans to purchase tickets through Weeztix-powered ticket shops directly from Spotify's interface.
Market Outlook:
- European smart ticketing market revenue (2024): $4.57B
- Projected revenue by 2030: $10.45B+
- Expected growth rate (2025-2030): 14.9%
- France is expected to show the highest CAGR in this period
This merger positions both companies to capitalize on the rapidly growing European smart ticketing market while maintaining their commitment to innovation and customer service.
