YouTube is expanding its generative AI capabilities in Shorts with enhanced features powered by Google DeepMind's Veo 2 video generation model. This upgrade builds upon the Dream Screen feature introduced last year.

How to Use Dream Screen:
- Open Shorts camera
- Select Green Screen, then Dream Screen
- Enter text prompt
- Select image
- Create video background
Creating Video Clips:
- Open Shorts camera
- Tap Add to open media picker
- Tap Create at the top
- Input prompt
- Select image
- Tap Create video
- Choose desired length
Important Notes:
- All AI-generated content includes SynthID watermarks and clear labels
- Currently available in US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand
- Global rollout planned for future release
