The trailer showcases Glover singing, dancing, and performing, with scenes of him being held hostage. Rihanna plays his girlfriend and partner-in-crime in what's being described as an action/crime movie. "We live in paradise but none of us actually have the time or the means to live here," Glover states in the film.

The project reunites Glover with director Hiro Murai, known for their work on "This Is America" and "Atlanta." The film was shot in Cuba, though specific details about the plot remain under wraps.

This release coincides with Glover's transition away from his Childish Gambino persona, as he recently announced his "This Is America" tour would be his last under that name. Due to a foot injury, some tour dates have been rescheduled, including two December performances at The Forum in Los Angeles on the 16th and 17th.

The PHAROS festival was chosen for the trailer reveal as Glover considers it "a gathering of the five intuitives of the human experience: tribe, ritual, experience abstraction, architecture, language."

Requests for comment from Glover's team about the trailer have gone unanswered.
