Downtown Music Publishing Renews Publishing Deal with Iconic Artist Tori Amos

Downtown Music Publishing has renewed its partnership with iconic singer-songwriter Tori Amos, continuing to represent her complete musical catalog. The partnership, initially established in 2018, builds upon Amos's influential career spanning over three decades.

Since her 1992 debut album "Little Earthquakes," Tori Amos has established herself as a defining voice in alternative music, known for her classical piano training and poetic songwriting. Her hits include "Crucify," "Cornflake Girl," and "A Sorta Fairytale."

John Witherspoon, Amos's Artist Manager, emphasized the company's dedication to preserving and promoting her artistic legacy: "Downtown has been a dedicated partner in honoring and amplifying that legacy, ensuring her music continues to reach and inspire listeners around the world."

The publishing company has also extended agreements with several other notable artists and catalogs:

  • George Gershwin's catalog, including "Rhapsody in Blue" and "An American in Paris"
  • DuBose and Dorothy Heyward, co-writers of "Porgy and Bess"
  • Remi Kabaka, renowned Afro-rock drummer

  • Geoff Wilkinson, founder of Us3
  • Brett Dennen, acclaimed songwriter
