Jack White Takes Legal Action Against Trump Campaign for 'Seven Nation Army' Unauthorized Use
Jack White and his ex-wife Meg White have filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump's campaign for unauthorized use of "Seven Nation Army" in social media videos. The legal action, filed in New York federal court, seeks a jury trial.
The White Stripes members explicitly state in their complaint that they "vehemently oppose the policies adopted and actions taken by Defendant Trump when he was President and those he has proposed for the second term he seeks."

The lawsuit was triggered by a video posted by Trump campaign's deputy director of communications, Margo Martin, showing Trump boarding a plane with "Seven Nation Army" playing in the background. Jack White responded on Instagram, warning of legal action and directly addressing Martin, who is also named in the lawsuit.
White joins a growing list of musicians who have opposed Trump's use of their music, including Abba, Celine Dion, and Foo Fighters. Additionally, numerous artists have united with the Artist Rights Alliance, signing an open letter urging political parties to establish clear consent policies for campaign music usage. Signatories include Aerosmith, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, R.E.M., Pearl Jam, Green Day, Blondie, Elvis Costello, and many others.
